All of a twitter

Twitter has partnered with Apple's musical social network Ping so its users can share their music taste with friends as well as buy tracks from iTunes without leaving Twitter.

In a blog, Twitter said its users send over 95m Tweets every day, ‘many of which are about the music they're listening to'.

The micro blogging site believes its partnership with Ping will let its users share their musical tastes with friends by putting Ping activity, song previews and links to purchase and download music from the iTunes Store into their Tweets. A more cynical mind may think that that Twitter is facilitating its users to advertise on behalf of bands as well as pushing people towards iTunes instead of other music download sites.

Apple launched Ping in September in tandem with the roll-out of iTunes 10 and later announced it had 1 million users within just 48 hours of launch.

Twitter users can link their account to instantly find Ping users among the people they follow and once accounts are joined up, whenever they post, like or review tracks, or share opinions on a song or album on Ping, the activity will be tweeted to their Twitter followers including a song preview and links to purchase music from iTunes.

"When you click on a Tweet that's sent via Ping or that contains an iTunes link, you'll see the song or album in Twitter's details pane, with the ability to listen to song previews from iTunes, making the experience even richer," said Twitter.

Twitter got a make-over in September with ‘panes' added to cope with the multimedia demands of its users.

You better be able block these - I've already have a friend like 30+ tracks on ping via facebook. Really pain when youre using fb on a mobile. With twitter it would be even worse.
