Amazon has revealed a Kindle app is coming to Windows Phone 7 users in the ‘coming months'.

The app will fit visually with WP7's distinctive look, keeping the same interface and type face for the new OS but looks like it will be pretty basic at launch, with no hints about whether there will be any social networking or notes extras.

Amazon said the app will sync with other Kindle apps (on BlackBerry, Android and iPhones plus PC and Mac) and the Kindle reader itself, with the option to email a link to a book.

Users will be able to buy titles from the 725,000 on offer, download trials and change the appearance of text with 5 different font sizes and 3 background colours. The app will also let WP7 handset owners tap ‘either side of the screen' to flick pages.

Interested parties can register and be notified when the app is ready.

Here's a picture of the new app.
