Internet giant Google says Google TV is: "a platform that combines your current TV programming and the open web into a single, seamless entertainment experience." Ahead of its hard launch Google has revealed some more details about the partners committed to participle in the project.

On the content side HBO, NBC Universal, Turner and the NBA are all either optimising their video websites or are developing specific apps for Google TV, while both Netflix and Amazon will be offering their video-on-demand services.

Meanwhile media such as the NYT, music services like Napster, and even Twitter are adapting their offerings for the platform. The customary Google vid is embedded below.

The Google blog post stressed that this is just the beginning; with a bunch more websites enhancing their content for viewing on the box. It confirmed that Google TV devices from Logitech and Sony will launch this month.
