There's been a fairly major changing of the guard at AMD in the past couple of years, especially in EMEA and especially in marketing. This culminated in AMD parting company with its previous EMEA marketing boss, and appointing Linh Bergen-Peters to replace him.
Bergen-Peters has been focusing on settling into her new role in the few months since she started, but responded to HEXUS.channel's request to make her first interview with us. Early on in the interview she reveals the unique qualities of HEXUS.channel that led her to make that choice.
In the interview we asked Bergen-Peters what idiosyncrasies she has observed concerning marketing to the UK in comparison with the rest of Europe. It turns out that many of us still haven't made up our minds when we go to a retailer and are thus still quite open to recommendation. This is something Bergen-Peters hopes will assist AMD's Vision marketing strategy.
The execution of this strategy, together with AMD's new Fusion partner programme, are identified as the most prominent immediate challenges by Bergen-Peters and she reflects that her experience working for HP will be useful in understanding AMD's customers.
