MIAOW!
There's something rather grubby about the perpetual squabble between Microsoft and Apple and Apple's latest ads will leave innocent bystanders feeling more sullied than ever as the two companies continue to scratch, pull hair and batter each other with metaphorical handbags.
The series of three ‘Get a Mac' ads conforms to the well-established theme of a pudgy, socially awkward guy in a suit attempting to demonstrate a virtue of a PC (read: Windows-based) and failing miserably, while the effortlessly cool and slim personification of an Apple Mac looks on piteously.
They're entitled ‘Elimination', ‘Customer Care' and ‘PC Choice Chat'. Elimination seems to be a direct riposte to Microsoft's ‘Lauren' ad but, rather than describe them to you, we've included clips below.
Do you think this constant public name calling does anything to improve the image of either company? Maybe you think it's just a great, big executive ego-fest. Let us know in the HEXUS.community discussion forums.
