The Conficker worm is one of the most highly publicised computer security threats in recent years. The fact that it apparently confounds the best efforts of the security software industry is one of the things that makes it so remarkable.
Kaspersky Labs is a security software company that has grown from humble beginnings to take on the likes of Symantec and McAfee in this highly competitive market.
We spoke to senior researcher Ram Herkanaidu to find out what the fuss is about the conficker worm and here about the other cyber-unpleasantness he has to deal with on a daily basis.
We also got a large response from the HEXUS.community discussion forum from a request for questions for Herkanaidu, so watch how he deals with questions like "If there weren't enough viruses out there, would you make some yourself," and other gems.
