Targeting growth

Both Gigabyte and Target components are continuing their UK expansion by signing a new agreement covering motherboards and graphics cards.

Gigabyte already has a broad portfolio of distributors in the UK with the likes of Enta, Ingram, Micro P and Bell Micro already handling motherboards and graphics cards, while A One and C&J Computers specialise in chassis and cooling.

Target is traditionally strong in the independent retailer and reseller channel so Gigabyte will be hoping to benefit from this. Target was appointed the exclusive UK distie for motherboard maker Biostar last year.

"We surveyed our customers on which brand they like us to add to our existing range and Gigabyte came out on top by a significant margin," said sales director Adrian Macklin (pictured).

"We believe that by including the brand in our offer we are both strengthening our position in the motherboard market and giving our customers what they have asked for. Gigabyte is looking to grow their UK business and believe that we are the right vehicle to achieve this."

Gigabyte motherboards and graphics cards will be available from Target from the start of April.
