Announcement time
Chinese system builder Lenovo, one of the biggest PC makers in the world, has asked the Hong Kong stock exchange to suspend the trading of its shares.
The suspension commenced at 9:30 am today in advance of an announcement by Lenovo that is described as price-sensitive in nature.
Lenovo's published request to suspend share trading didn't specify what the announcement would be. However, in the light of some poor financial results recently, it's expected to be some major restructuring, possibly with an emphasis on its Asian operations.
