Waking Puma
We speculated a month ago that AMD might have missed the boat with its new notebook platform - codenamed Puma - after only being able to find one SKU available in the UK when Intel launched Centrino 2.
Well it looks like some more are starting to appear, with Fujitsu-Siemens (FSC) making a couple available through Argos.
The Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pa3553 is a 15.4 inch, £599 laptop with the following spec:
Processor - AMD Turion Ultra ZM-80, 2.1GHz
Memory: 3072MB
Storage: 250Gb HDD
Optical drive: DVDRW Dual Layer
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 3470 Hybrid X2 256Mb dedicated
Wireless: 802.11 a/b/g/pre-n
A hundred quid more gets you a 320Gb HDD and a multi-format Blu-Ray drive.
