Google anti-spam
The somewhat incongruous sight of Google’s primary colours greeted visitors to Infosec 2008, signifying how times, they are a-changing.
About nine months ago, Google acquired online email filtering company Postini and, while it still exists in some sort of semi-autonomous capacity, it is also being offered as part of the Premier version (i.e. paid for) of Google Apps.
There wasn’t a hell of a lot more info on offer as it seems Google is a bit on the cautious side, PR-wise. But what Google’s presence did signify is that we’re likely to see it creeping into ever more diverse areas of business.
