Rome is the setting for this year’s IT Channel Vision Europe (ITCVE) – a pan-European B2B event designed specifically for the IT channel – as the tin says.

ITCVE is part of the Vision Events stable, which was recently acquired by US publisher CMP and incorporated into its newly rebranded and ambitiously named channel offering: Everything Channel.

Readers may be familiar with its sister event: Retail Vision Europe, which aims to bring together retail decision-makers and tech vendors. Well this appears to basically be the same, but with system integrators and resellers replacing retailers. Like a tiny CeBIT with only execs allowed.

There are expected to be around 200 delegates, including the European bosses of Microsoft, Intel, Samsung Semiconductor and Comarch. The event will kick off this evening with a keynote by Robert Faletra, the CEO of Everything Channel.

Here’s a list of the vendors that have confirmed their attendance:

AOpen Computer
Beauty Up Co
Buffalo Technology
Bull Guard
Canonical
Comarch European Premier 5
Corel Corporation
COS Memory AG
Gecad Technologies S.A
Hitachi Global Storage Technologies
IBM Software Group
Intel
Kingston Technology
Microsoft Corporation
Mode Com Ltd
Mtron co Ltd
Paragon Software
Philips & Lite-On Digital Solutions
Proview Group
Samsung Semiconductor Europe
Sea Sonic Electronics Co Ltd
Seagate Technology
Ultra-X BV
Upsite Technologies

HEXUS is in Rome to cover this event and will be bringing you regular bulletins.

In case you have any doubt about this correspondent’s slavish devotion to duty, let it be noted that he is taking one for the team and staying in Rome to cover a major Intel channel event which is, coincidentally or not, taking place at the same venue a mere couple of days after the conclusion of ITCVE.

So watch this space and spare a thought for the sacrifices we make to bring you the latest tech business news.
