Display of strength
East Anglian distributor Midwich has further strengthened its audio-visual offering with the creation of a division specifically to provide high-end display solutions to resellers.
In an apparent desire to fuse the concepts of hi-fi and high-tech, the division is being called Hi-Technology. Among the products being made available by Hi-Technology are: exclusive 3D displays, 46-inch to 103-inch specialist displays, weatherproof, interactive, touchscreen and hybrid display solutions, digital signage, digital video globes and high specification projectors.
Darren Lewitt, divisional director at Midwich (pictured), said: ‘At
Midwich, we take pride in bringing new opportunities to market first. This new
division is simply the progressive result of being a specialist ‘market-making’
distributor.
‘The team is already up and running and working with our reseller partners and their clients, and they have already landed some high profile projects. I think everyone gets satisfaction from selling solutions such as 103-inch plasma, 3D displays or LED displays. There are some very exciting products out there at the moment and even more coming through. Midwich is committed to bringing them to the market first.’
Coincidentally, or perhaps not, Midwich’s sister company – True Colours Distribution (TCD) – has also announced a new division, specialising in high-end projectors from vendor partners Sanyo, Panasonic and Barco.
TCD has also signed an exclusive deal to distribute the connectivity solutions of Texas-based technology management and automation outfit AMX.
